What is OSINT Academy?

ĻӰ OSINT Academy is a week-long immersive in-person course, that teaches you the essentials of media literacy, open-source intelligence, and cognitive security. During the week, you'll learn fundamentals of information, intelligence, open-source research best practices, and how to recognize and protect yourself against disinformation and malign influence, which can threaten the protection of important information.

What Will You Learn?

Information and intelligence are two different things. Our advanced summer program teaches you to turn data and information into highly developed intelligence. During the week, you will learn the fundamentals of information, intelligence, and the application of critically assessed information to intelligence. Including how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is used to detect events before they happen.

You'll search, analyze, critically assess, and identify information using reliable media platforms. Then, discover how professionals respond to Information Warfare in our state-of-the-art, high-tech War Room.

These exercises will teach you how to take actions that are used by investigators across various sectors including law enforcement, military intelligence, loss prevention, and cybersecurity.

Your Day-to-Day Schedule

Each day you'll assess your findings under the guidance of experienced Information Warfare expert teachers, and trained ĻӰ students in our Corps of Cadets military lifestyle. Professors and current students will mentor and support your experience throughout the program.

Morning sessions you'll spend learning online tools for researching and identifying reliable resources with technical support and demonstrations by instructors in our War Room. In the afternoon, hear from Information Warfare professors who share their insider knowledge. You'll watch in-person demonstrations to explain complex strategies.

Afterward, you'll dive into individual project work time where professors discuss your goals one-on-one with you. At the end of the course, you'll have a completed briefing/analysis of your chosen research topic. Then, you'll present your work in a 3-5 minute presentation and explain how you achieved the task. Plus, you'll be confident in speaking on the reliability and validity of the information as well as how AI played into your findings.
